pbwiki uses standard, simple wiki formatting. You can click Edit (above) to see how this page is formatted.
Text formatting
- One * at the beginning of a line makes a bullet point, like this.
- One ! makes a huge headline
- Two !! makes a big headline (like "Text formatting" above)
- Three !!! makes a small headline
- Two * before and after something makes it bold
- Two ' before and after something makes it italic
- Two _ before and after something makes it underlined or use <u>item to underline</u>
- One vertical bar before and after something puts a box around it
- These can be combined: both italic and bold__, __italic, bold, and boxed!
- Separate callout:
This text is in a separate callout,
since it has a space in front of each line.
- Q: Why can't fixes always work the first time?
- A: I don't know. I really don't.
Links
- If you use two capital letters in a word with lowercase letters in between, pbwiki will automatically recognize the word as a link to a page. This is why we write words that LookFunny like SandBox instead of sandbox or Sandbox. If you use a word like FunnyWord but don't yet have a page called FunnyWord, you can create such a page by just clicking on the word. If you have a FunnyWord which is not intended to create a link, prefix it with ~, i.e. FunnyWord (click Edit to see how this was done)
- You can also just type or paste in URLs in exposed form, like http://pbwiki.com/ - or you can beautify URLs by adding brackets and hiding the target, like this: pbwiki (click Edit to see how this was done)
- Including " and . in square brackets changes their effect: Don't Link This [can't "quotes" work?] [That. Can't. Be. True.]
- You can also show pictures in your wiki. Just add the link to the picture in brackets! (Click edit above to see how I added the sandwich here!)

Email Address Links
Email addresses are a problem on a PUBLIC websiite like this one because they are collected by Email Spammers. Therefore please DO NOT use an open address like support@pbwiki.com
Instead a method of making a disguised link has been provided
The URL is http://yateley.pbwiki.com/f/emailer.htm
These are the instructions for making the link:
The required email address format following the link is #domaintype&personname&domainname
Optionally you can add an email Subject line, viz: #domaintype&personname&domainname&Subject%20line
Note that the @ and the dot between the domain name and domain type are omitted, and the domain type comes FIRST. Spaces are rendered by %20.
Hence for example the link needed for
anybody@aol.co.uk is
http://yateley.pbwiki.com/f/emailer.htm#co.uk&anybody&aol&Subject%20line
But a revealed email address is not very pretty, and such direct disclosure in any case not desirable
So make a hidden email address:
email me
Hidden email address with subject line:
email me
(click Edit to see how these were done)
