Enquiries

The Yateley History Project's policy is to answer specific Yateley history questions from the public by application by email. We try to help researchers as much as we can. This is better for enquirers than allowing access to the passworded Yateley History Project website because we can draw on all our source material, and we know what we have got and what we haven't.

In return, we expect those who obtain our help to provide their Yateley relevant historical materials to us in return, and in the case of family historians to provide their genealogical link from their Yateley ancestors down to themselves.

Phillimore's Marriages for Hampshire Vol 1-15
(ZIP 1318kb, of TSV files, includes small MSDOS program for easy reading, sorting and analysing this tabulated data) Most of the 1900 work detailing the marriage records of Hampshire, including Yateley. This archive is a reworked version of the version by Reg Moore in New Zealand. This version is easier to use for large scale searches.

The Yateley History project open pages allow local history and family history researchers to know what sort of resources The Yateley Project has available. In fact we have far more than is on the closed website, both on computer and in traditional paper form. For third party copyright and privacy reasons, the website materials are not available to the public and the pages are password protected so that members of the Yateley History Project can use them for research to support the project.
